VINCENT DE HAITRE
Olympic Speed-skater and Track Cyclist
What does it take to be an Olympian in two sports? Ottawa’s Vincent de Haitre explains how he got started in speed-skating and crossed over to track cycling and how demanding the training regiment is to be an elite athlete competing at the highest level.

La mission impossible de Vincent De Haître
Vincent De Haître set himself the goal of qualifying for the Tokyo Olympics in track cycling, and then for the Beijing Games, scheduled for six months later, in speed skating. The initial plan, already very ambitious, was turned upside down by the pandemic that forced the postponement of the Summer Games. Podium followed this exceptional athlete through his final year, which was a little crazy and, above all, full of pitfalls.
